What is the dosage and how should it be used?
Benazepril comes as a tablet to be taken orally. It is usually taken once or twice a day, or as directed by your doctor.
You may take this drug with or without food, and each dose should be taken with a full glass of water.
To help you remember to take benazepril, take it around the same time every day.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.
For the treatment of high blood pressure, it may take 2 weeks before the full benefit of this drug occurs, or several weeks/months when used for congestive heart failure.
Do not take more or less of it, or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick.
